Jerusalem, 16 November (IANS). Israel has issued a warning that if there is a rocket attack from the Gaza Strip, it will surround it and retaliate.
According to the report of the news agency Xinhua, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday that his country would not tolerate any attack. He was referring to two rockets launched from Gaza towards Israel on Saturday night.
No group claimed responsibility for the rocket attack.
However, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Hamas, the Islamic Palestinian movement that runs Gaza, should be held accountable for this.
He said that the government is working to bring long-term peace in many directions.
Israel responded to the attacks and retaliated against Hamas targets.
No casualties or injuries were reported from either side.
