Islamabad, 17 November (IANS). Pakistan has witnessed a spurt in new cases of the coronavirus epidemic in the past, Prime Minister Imran Khan has banned public ceremonies and reiterated the need for people to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). .

Addressing the nation after a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Monday, Khan urged people to wear masks and maintain distance, according to a Dawn News report.

He also canceled the public celebrations of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in view of the serious situation of Kovid-19 and asked other political parties to follow the rules.

The Prime Minister said that the wedding will be allowed to be held only in open spaces and the number of guests will not be considered more than 300, while the factory, shops on which people’s livelihood depends will remain open.
