Mumbai, 17 November (IANS) The Mumbai Police has uncovered a kidnapping and human trafficking case, achieving a major success. The police have also rescued the four-month-old girl from Mumbai from Telangana, where she was sold for Rs 4 lakh. Officials gave information about it on Tuesday.
Additional Commissioner of Police, West – Sandeep Karnik said that on November 11, a four-month-old girl was reported missing at Juhu police station. A team was formed to investigate the case under the leadership of Senior Police Inspector Panadharinath Wahvel, but due to lack of evidence, the team had to seek the help of a technical expert to resolve the case.
“The police connected the matter from Maharashtra to Telangana and then arrested the three main accused,” Karnik said.
After kidnapping the child, the accused sold him to a person in Telangana for four lakh rupees, but the police refused to give any further information as further investigation is going on.
