New Delhi, 18 November (IANS). The Delhi Congress on Wednesday took out the Kisan Adhikar Tractor Yatra to protest against the recently implemented agricultural laws by the Center.
Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar Choudhary said, the Modi government should immediately withdraw the anti-farmer laws and create a farmer-friendly environment to increase farm production and benefit farmers.
The tractor journey started from Divya Jyoti Ashram in Bawana and concluded on Barwala Main Road.
Chaudhary said that farmers play a huge role in shaping the economic and political destiny of the country. He said that India has achieved self-sufficiency in food and the Green Revolution has been led by the late Indira Gandhi in many fields of agriculture.
He said that as a result of Indira Gandhi’s pro-farmer programs and policies, the country has changed its dependence on imported food and agricultural products to become an exporter of many agricultural products.
Chaudhary strongly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi for not speaking against central agricultural laws. He called it the B team of the BJP-RSS alliance.
