Digital Desk, Panaji. Former Goa Governor and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Mridula Sinha died at the age of 77. Apart from politics, his name was also very high in the world of literature. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have expressed grief over the demise of the former Governor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Mridula Sinha will always be remembered for her efforts in public service. She was a skilled writer, who has made a huge contribution in the world of literature as well as in culture. I am saddened by his demise. My condolences to his family and fans.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that former Goa Governor and senior BJP leader Mridula Sinha ji’s death is very sad. He worked for the nation, society and organization throughout his life. She was also an accomplished writer who will always be remembered for her writing. My condolences to his family. ॐ Peace.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Giriraj Singh from Begusarai in Bihar also paid tribute to Mridula Sinha on his death. Giriraj Singh, while paying tribute to him on Twitter, wrote that, ‘The former governor of Goa, noted litterateur and senior BJP leader Mridula Sinha ji is distressed. His death is an irreparable loss to the BJP family. A blessing arose from our foreheads. May his soul rest in peace. ‘

Let us tell you that Mridula Sinha has been associated with Jana Sangh since the beginning. He was counted among the effective leaders of the BJP. Mridula Sinha was born on 27 November 1942 in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. Mridula Sinha was the chairperson of the Central Social Welfare Board during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government. He was also named in the world of literature. A film was also made on his book ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’ written on Vijayaraje Scindia.
