Mumbai, 18 November (IANS) The Maharashtra Police recovered a hijacked ATM cash van a day before Diwali, in which three of the accused involved have also gone under police custody. The officials gave information about this.
According to the Meera-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate, a cash van belonging to the Rider Business Company went missing around 5 pm on November 12, a day before Diwali near the Kotak Mahindra Bank ATM in Bolinghe village in Paladhar district.
The incident occurred when the van driver asked the manager, loader and armed bodyguard to disembark the cash box, as the van driver escaped as soon as everyone got down from the van as an excuse to park the car.
After a long time, when he did not return, on the basis of suspicion, the manager called the driver, where his phone was constantly coming off, after which he informed the police and filed a complaint.
At that time, 4.30 crore rupees were kept in cash in the van.
Police recovered Rs 4.22 crore from three criminals involved in the case and arrested them.
