Mumbai, November 18 (IANS) Manushi Chhillar recalled the moment on Wednesday when she was crowned Miss World on the same day three years ago.
He said, It was an honor for me to bring Miss World’s crown back to India three years ago. For me winning this for my country was a very proud and humble moment indeed. It is a highly competitive event and everyone participates to win, but I am glad that I made a lot of friends there.
Manushi also shared her favorite highlights on the day she was declared the winner.
He said, “There are so many highlights of that day for me, but my favorite moment was when everybody was screaming Bharat-Bharat on the last night.” I love our tradition and culture and Miss World Platform gave me the opportunity to show it to the whole world. It was wonderful to see other contestants dancing to the songs of my country, they requested me to play Sanjay Leela Bhansali ji’s drums with a drum and try to dance on it. I love that song and I wanted to perform something that would be popular because everyone recognizes Bollywood internationally.
He said, I have always loved being on stage, but more than that what happens on stage, it is such a feeling, which keeps you connected throughout the month, we spend time together and those days Always cherish. I made friends, raised my voice on topics I felt closely about and participated in events such as the fundraiser, the marathon.
Manushi is all set to make her acting debut with the period drama Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar.
