New Delhi, 19 November (IANS). There was a wave of mourning among organizations associated with the Sangh Parivar after the death of Balakrishna Naik, former National Vice President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and senior RSS pracharak. Balkrishna Naik, 78, breathed his last at 11.30 pm on Wednesday at Kushinagar, the Maha-Nirvana site of Mahatma Buddha. Balkrishna Naik will be cremated in Aurangabad, his hometown Maharashtra on Friday.

Vinod Bansal, national spokesperson of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, told IANS that Balkrishna Naik became an RSS pracharak after engineering from Stanford University in the US. He joined Vishwa Hindu Parishad in VHP in 1974. He spent 23 years of his life in communist-ruled Bengal. He took the initiative to unite the saints of all faiths. He was the head of the coordination platform for this for 15 years. VHP’s Joint General Secretary and Central Vice President.

78-year-old Balakrishna Naik was a seeker of Vipassana Sadhana, being calm, happy, humble and soft-spoken. Jain Sikh Buddhist Sanatani Arya Samaji, Kabir Panthi etc. He had direct contact with saints of all faiths of Indian origin spread all over the world. Vinod Bansal informed that Balkrishna Naik will be cremated on Friday in his hometown Aurangabad (Maharashtra). For many years, even after fighting asthma, he continued to stay and increase the flow of Hindutva in the country and abroad.

VHP spokesman Vinod Bansal said that Naik had expressed his desire to give up his body in Kushinagar, the holy land of Mahatma Buddha. He also worshiped Lord Buddha in the world famous Mahaparinirvana temple in the morning. He died suddenly in the evening and died during treatment.
