New York, 21 November (IANS). On Friday, Mala Adiga, an Indian American, was appointed policy director for Jill, the wife of Joe Biden, who would become president of the United States in January.

Adiga’s appointment is important, as Jill Biden, who has a PhD degree and will continue to work as a college English professor even after attending the White House. She is active on policy issues and works closely with her husband on many issues.

Adiga served as the senior adviser to Jill Biden in the election campaigns of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Kamla will hold the post of Vice President. His mother is from Tamil Nadu.

Adiga was a director of higher education and military families at the Biden Foundation.

She has been a lawyer by profession. Prior to joining the campaign of former President Barack Obama in 2008, he worked for a Chicago law firm.

She has also been an Associate Attorney General in the Obama administration.
