London, 20 November (IANS). British Prime Minister Boris Johnson can announce his decision on the findings of the investigation that took place on the conduct of Home Secretary Preeti Patel.
This has been given in the media report on Friday, quoting sources.
Philip Ratnam, the senior-most Home Ministry official, resigned in February last year, saying Preity’s behavior was hostile to her. He also filed a lawsuit for his constructive dismissal, after which a decision was taken to investigate.
According to sources, the report looked at Priti Patel’s conduct in three different government departments – Home Office, Work and Pensions and International Development.
However, a spokesperson for Preity, meanwhile, denied the allegations leveled against her and also said that no formal complaint had been filed against her.
During the investigation, Preity also got the support of several Conservative party MPs.
Preity of Indian origin became the Home Secretary in July 2019.
