Covaxin phase 3 trials to begin in Haryana today, minister to take shot | Covid-19 Vaccine: India Biotech Phase III Trial of Covaxin Starts, Minister Anil Vij Introduces First Vaccine

Digital Desk, New Delhi. The entire world has been battling the Kovid-19 pandemic for the past 10 months, but so far no effective vaccine has been developed to deal with it. Meanwhile, the third phase trial of Bharat Biotech’s Corona Vaccine (Covaxin) has started on Friday. Haryana minister Anil Vij is also involved in this trial as a volunteer. Anil Vij got the first vaccine after the trial started in Rohtak. Bharat is a biotech Indian company working on a corona vaccine called Covaxin.

In the third round, the vaccine is to be tested on a total of 25 thousand 800 people in the country. PGI Rohtak is also included in those three centers where the vaccine is being tested on 200 volunteers in the third phase. During this, the status of antibodies in them will be studied. The Vice Chancellor of PGI Rohtak said that the vaccine would have two doses. The second dose will be given 28 days after the first dose is given. We expect the vaccine to be more than 90 percent effective.

Let us know that more than 150 vaccines of Kovid-19 are going on research and trials worldwide. Russia is the only country to register the first vaccine of Kovid-19 and named it Sputnik V. However, the results of the Phase-3 trial are awaited on a large scale. The world also has high hopes from the Oxford University vaccine. On the other hand, if we talk about India, there is a trial of three Kovid vaccines. Two of these vaccines have been developed by Indian scientists.

Vaccine Covaxin produced by the Indian Council of Medical Research and Bharat Biotech is in the third round of trials, while the ZyCov-D vaccine for Zydus Cadila is undergoing a human trial. AstraZeneca vaccine of Oxford University is also undergoing trials. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has said that by July next year, there is a possibility of 40 to 500 million doses of Corona vaccine in the country and 20-25 million people are vaccinated.

In this, it is a matter of keeping the people connected with healthcare a priority. This will include government as well as from private hospitals staff, nurses, paramedics, sanitary staff, hope, and Corona patients testing and tracing people. Information about cold chain and other infrastructure required to deliver the vaccine to the block level has also been sought from the states. In such a situation, there is every hope that by the middle of 2021, India will get the corona vaccine and the corona infection will come under control.
