Digital Desk, Srinagar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting on Friday after thwarting a major terrorist conspiracy in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was attended by Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Foreign Secretary. Officers related to Nagrota encounter should also be present in this meeting. It is being told that the terrorists wanted a big terrorist attack on the 26/11 anniversary.
Explain that 4 Jaish terrorists were killed in an encounter on Thursday in Jammu near Nagrota. The terrorists were carrying huge quantities of arms and ammunition in the truck. The top police officer said that 11 AK-47 rifles and pistols were also recovered from the terrorists. There is every possibility that they were planning something big. DG Dilbag Singh of Jammu and Kashmir Police had said that a group of 4 Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists had infiltrated India from the international border in Samba on Wednesday night. The four were traveling in a truck headed to Kashmir. The truck was stopped by the police near the toll plaza after which the four were killed in an encounter.
Jammu IG Mukesh Kumar said, “We had special input about this movement of terrorists.” We came to know that these terrorists were planning to obstruct the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) elections. Security was tightened on the highway after receiving the input and vehicles are being thoroughly investigated.
He said that when the truck carrying the terrorists was stopped around 5 o’clock in the morning, on inquiry, the driver was surprised and jumped and started running. The police team opened fire from inside the truck and then in retaliation, 4 Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were killed. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition including 11 AK-47 rifles and 3 pistols have been recovered from them. Kumar said, they were making big plans. Each terrorist was carrying at least 3 AK-47 rifles.
