Lucknow, 20 November (IANS). The CBI has tightened its grip against former Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi in the case of the misappropriation of Waqf properties in Uttar Pradesh. The CBI has registered two cases against Wasim Rizvi. Regarding this, Yogi government minister Mohsin Raza said that a large amount of complaints were received from the Shia Waqf Board.
Thousands of crores of Waqf properties have been sold and ruined in previous governments. From sending the culprits to jail, justice will be done by the Yogi government. This action has been taken under the policy of zero tolerance on corruption and Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Faith.
Minister Mohsin Raza said that previous governments of SP, BSP had not heard the demands of senior religious leaders, social workers and victims. Waqf properties were fiercely destroyed. Now the Yogi government is doing justice.
The CBI has registered two separate cases against former Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi in the case of rigging the properties of the Waqf Board. The Anti Corruption Branch of CBI Lucknow based its case on the cases filed in Prayagraj town Kotwali and Hazratganj Kotwali in Lucknow against Wasim Rizvi. The state government had recommended a CBI inquiry in both these cases on 11 October 2019. The CBI will now begin a series of investigations into the assets of the Shia Waqf Board.
