Srinagar, 21 November (IANS). Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested two militant accomplices of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) from Avantipora, who were involved in providing shelter and transport. The officials gave this information on Saturday.
He has been identified as Bilal Ahmed Chopan, a resident of Wagad Tral and Mursalin Bashir Sheikh, a resident of Chatlam Pampore.
Police said that as per the investigation, they were providing logistic support and shelter besides transporting arms and ammunition to the militants in Pampore and Tral areas.
Police said they have also played a role in giving sensitive information to JEM terrorists. A large amount of criminal paraphernalia has been recovered from his possession.
The police have registered an FIR and further investigation is on.
