New Delhi, 21 November (IANS). A bus on the Uttar Pradesh Roadways collided with a tree in Sukhdev Vihar area of south-east Delhi near New Friends Colony in the early hours of Saturday, injuring at least 20 people. The driver of the bus escaped after the accident.
At 3.22 am, a call was received near Sukhdev Vihar at Police Station NFC regarding the accident, after which the police team immediately reached the spot.
DCP RP of South-East Delhi Meena said, the UP Roadways bus collided with a tree near the CNG pump near the CRRI office on Mathura Road. The bus was coming from Bah, Agra. Many people have been injured in the accident.
The local police have sent the injured to the trauma center of AIIMS. PCR and CAT ambulances also reached the spot.
The police officer said, a case of accident has been registered and investigation is on. Officials of the Agra depot have been informed in this regard.
