Paris, 22 November (IANS). Addressing the Riyadh summit of the G20, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the world needs a globally coordinated and united response to fight the coronavirus epidemic.
According to the news agency Xinhua, Macron said, the DNA of the G20 is to make immediate efforts to create an effective multilateral solution to the world’s crises. Now the next fight is to universalize access to health technologies against Kovid-19.
He further said, we need to avoid those circumstances of the world running in 2 speeds at all costs where only the rich start protecting themselves from the virus and start a normal life.
He suggested that everyone should have access to the vaccine, in times of health emergency we should promote industrial partnership and production with developing countries like Africa etc.
Explain that the G20 is a group of major economies of the world, whose combined GDP is more than 85 percent of the world’s total GDP. Hence they are widely expected to work to address the effects of the epidemic on the world economy.
