Moscow, 22 November (IANS). Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has dismissed doubts over a tripartite ceasefire statement centered around the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.
On Saturday, Lavrov said during a briefing that issues related to the implementation of the ceasefire statement were fully discussed in a meeting with the Armenian leadership, including ensuring the operation of the Russian peace mission and the conduct of humanitarian operations, Xinhua reported Is included.
He said, all accepted that this statement was the only means to settle the situation, which was very difficult many weeks ago.
Lavrov said, it was said that questioning efforts both within the country and abroad are disallowable. He said that Russia and Armenia confirmed their determination to do everything to maintain the statement.
The ceasefire statement was signed on 9 November by Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nicholas Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, with the three sides agreeing to a full ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakha region beginning on 10 November.
As agreed, Russia has deployed a contingent consisting of 1,960 soldiers consisting of 90 armored personnel and 380 vehicles.
